Counselor's Corner... by Stacia Butler, School CounselorAs your school counselor, I would like to welcome you to the Counselor's corner. Please visit frequently as this will be a great resource for you as a parent. On our Green School Website I also have a web page where you will find a wealth of support as a parent, and of course feel free to call me or email me with any concerns or quesitions throughout the year.Some of you may already know me for I was the school counselor last school year and was a fourth grade teacher at Green two years before that. This is my fourth year at Green and my ninth year in education. My dedication to children has been a prominent part of my life ever since I can remember. Not only do I want to help the children of Green Elementary be the best they can be, but I want to support you, the parent, in any way I can. Important Event Dates To RememberLove and Logic Classes This Spring!! Facilitated by Amy Egan and Scott Vedane Raise respectful, responsible kids who are also fun to be around!! Lower your stress and spend more time enjoying your children. These courses are light hearted and fun, as well as being full of easy to learn techniques that will help you to attain harmonious relationships within your families. Three courses available: “Becoming a Love and Logic Parent” A six week course geared toward raising children of all ages - $79, includes workbook Class options are: - Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 beginning April 1 @ 518 Saginaw Ct in Allen - taught by Amy Egan - Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 beginning April 3 @ Boon Elementary in Allen - taught by Scott Vedane “Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!” A five week course focusing on children ages 0 – 6 years - $69, includes workbook Class Meetings are: - Time, date and place to be announced - contact Amy if interested “Becoming a Love and Logic Parent” condensed course This is a two week (6 hours) condensed version of the six week course.
