Counselor's Corner... by Stacia Butler, School Counselor

As your school counselor, I would like to welcome you to the Counselor's corner. Please visit frequently as this will be a great resource for you as a parent. On our Green School Website, you can find my web page where there is a wealth of support for you as a parent, and of course feel free to call me or email me with any concerns or quesitions throughout the year.

My dedication to children has been a prominent part of my life ever since I can remember. Not only do I want to help the children of Green Elementary be the best they can be, but I want to support you, the parent, in any way I can. Here are a few things you will find me doing throughout a given school year:

  • Counsel individually with children
  • Teach monthly guidance lessons in classrooms
  • Conduct small group counseling sessions
  • Coordinate assessments
  • Consult with parents in private conferences about their child
  • Consult with teachers
  • Conduct parenting workshops
  • Provide information on community resources for families.
