Welcome to the Green PTA Membership portal... there's no time like the present to join the Green
PTA for the 2009-2010 school year! Get involved in your child's education.
We are GOING GREEN this year in everything we do, so you will see less paper in your child's
folder - including membership forms! You can now sign up on our secure WebStore, which will save you
from waiting in line at Back-to-School Night or sending checks or cash back through your child's green folder.

Back to Basics - WE WANT YOU!
Our mission is to have every child at Green represented in the PTA. If you have been
considering joining, please join today and help make our mission possible! Even if you
do not have a lot of time to give, just joining shows your support. The larger our group,
the stronger our voice!

Reasons to Join
By Joining PTA, you automatically become part of the largest child-advocacy
organization in the state - over 770,000 strong across Texas! Wow!
Joining PTA is the best way to get informed and involved in your child's school.
It gives you a voice and a vote to all PTA activities throughout the year. Studies
have proven that membership in PTA provides your child with a greater chance of
achieving in school.
It's a wonderful way to meet new friends, other parents, and to get to know the
teachers. This will introduce you to others that share common concerns and you will
feel more empowered to do the tough job of parenting.
You will join in promoting welfare for our children in the home, school, community
and place of worship. More than ever it is important for parents to learn ways to keep
children safe, trouble free, and involved in school. PTA is the best place to gain
that knowledge.
You will be included in and receive a Green Student Directory that will keep you
and your children connected to others throughout the year.
It's only $6.00 per member - which is among the lowest in AISD! $4.00 is sent to
pay for state and national dues, and the remaining amount goes to Green PTA to offset
directory printing.
The PTA makes Green Elementary a better place!
Recent Green PTA Accomplishments
Funded the construction of the new Playground!!
Provide additional funding for Teacher Resources each year
Constructed the playground shade structure
Provided science lab materials and new die cut letter sets
Augment the library book budget
Added new benches to the school grounds
Supplied two-way radios for the faculty and staff to enhance campus safety & security
Purchased math, science and language arts software for all grades
Provided new math learning kits for Kindergarten and First Grade classes
