President's UpdateA Message from your PTA PresidentAugust, 2009 Welcome Back Green Families! What a terrific year we have in store!. I am thrilled to be the 2009-10 PTA President for Green Elementary —and honored to work along side of our new Principal, Kelly Campman. The 2009-10 PTA Board has been working hard throughout the summer months to be ready for this amazing year. Be sure to check out the Green PTA website; www.greenpta.org for up to date calendar events including Family Spaghetti Dinner Night October 8th, the Fall Carnival November 8th and the 2nd Annual Green Chili Cook-off on January 7th 2010! We are pleased to be the first to welcome you to the Back to School Scoop (Thursday August 20th)! Please join us for news, information and ice cream treats in the cafeteria once you’ve had a chance to meet with your new teachers. You will have time to purchase new Green Gear, school supplies, join PTA, pre-order the upcoming Green Cookbook and socialize with your friends and neighbors! Please note all purchases will be processed in the New Computer Lab—you will be awe struck when you see this great classroom with 68 student computers!! WOW! There is no better place to be than GREEN! Green Elementary PTA is proud to provide support, equipment, supplies, training, volunteers and so much more. Your membership in PTA, your opinions, your time and your dedication help us make a difference in your child’s life.
