President's UpdateAugust/September, 2007Welcome back to all of our families of Green Elementary and welcome to our new families also. I hope your summer was enjoyable and relaxing. The PTA is geared up and ready for our school year ahead. Our mission as always is to provide a healthy and productive learning environment for our kids. Please become a member of the Green Elementary PTA so you can be a part of making a difference in your child’s education. There are many opportunities to get involved with the PTA, or in your child’s classroom. Please contact our volunteer committee to see where you can help. Our fundraising activities make it possible for us to fund many things throughout the school year like teacher resources, Go Van Gogh, youth protection and special projects, just to name a few. Most of our fundraising takes place in the fall. Sally Foster and Passbooks kick us off and the silent auction will take place this year in November. The garage sale has been moved to March – just in time for spring cleaning. Please sign up to receive your newsletter online this year.
